The award-winning Wes Winters is one of the most popular and versatile entertainers in Las Vegas.
With extensive vocal, stage and piano abilities, his list of credits include television, radio, live theater, composing, and producing--to name a few. Winters was inspired to play piano at the age of 5 upon seeing famous pianist Liberace on television. Young Wes actively began listening to recordings of Liberace and became a self-taught pianist, playing "by ear." With an innate talent possessed by very few, Winters has achieved a virtuoso standing, both vocal and instrumental, around the world among his show business contemporaries.
Wes has appeared in many of the most noted Las Vegas venues. He conceived, wrote, produced and starred in "A Musical Tribute to Liberace" at the world-renowned Liberace Museum, followed by a Las Vegas Strip engagement at Planet Hollywood in 2008. "I enjoyed a great run at the Liberace Museum," said Winters of his successful 4-year 8- month engagement at the museum where the venue during the run "The Wes Winters Showroom." in his honor. Winters is not an impersonator or look-a-like, but a "sound-a-like the moment his fingers hit the keys" according to several reviewers. His tribute show captured the spirit, enthusiasm, and legendary showmanship that made Liberace an icon to millions of people throughout the world.
A Kansas native Winters moved to Las Vegas in 2003 and won the Liberace Play-A-Like Competition the same year. Because of his showmanship and expert ability, the judges said they knew within the first minute of his performance they had their winner.
Winters was just 5 years old when he saw the famed pianist on a CBS Sunday night television special that was filmed in Las Vegas. "I had never seen anyone like Liberace before whose fingers moved so fast," recalls Winters, who comes from an extremely musical immediate and extended family.
